When she’s not in the studio, one of Shanna’s favorite past-times is chasing storms. Her love for science and technology began at an early age when her mother who was a nurse inspired her passion for STEM fields. Growing up, she was inspired by watching TODAY’s Al Roker Show every morning. After college, she launched her career in San Francisco and quickly began an upward progression working in the Oregon and Colorado markets. There, she covered and reported on weathercasts in basically everything from snowstorms and wildfires, to floods and also chasing tornadoes during severe weather along the Eastern Plains.
