Sean Bean is an English actor.  He made his professional debut in a theatre production of Romeo and Juliet in 1983 following his graduation from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Sean first found mainstream success for his portrayal of Richard Sharpe in the ITV series Sharpe and at the same time retaining his Yorkshire accent. Originally, Sharpe ran from 1993 to 1997.

The family never moved away from the council estate despite becoming relatively wealthy, as they preferred to remain close to friends and family. As a child,  Sean smashed a glass door during an argument. The incident left a piece of glass embedded in his leg that briefly impeded his walking, and left a large scar. The accident prevented him from pursuing his ambition of playing football professionally.

Sean Bean Lord Of The Rings | As Boromir

His most prominent role was as Boromir in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy.  Sean’s major screen time occurs in the first installment, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Also, he appears briefly in flashbacks in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
