Sarah gained notoriety in 2007 after making a post on eBay offering to be someone’s “date” to Super Bowl XLI, the game that the Chicago Bears played the Indianapolis Colts.

During the time, Sarah was living in Los Angeles and was expecting to go to the game with friends. She had purchased a plane ticket to Miami but her friends decided they couldn’t afford to go. As a result, they left Sarah solo and without a game ticket. Sara described the auction as a stunt to get media attention and hoped that a company would try to gain publicity by sponsoring her attendance at the Super Bowl.
