Sam Chui is a Hong Kong-Australian author, aviation & travel vlogger, YouTube content creator, and photographer. He is best known for overhead pictures of Los Angeles International Airport captured from helicopters. Sam is the author of four books including Air1, Air2, Air 3, and Air747. Currently, he lives in Dubai, UAE. Sam started a website in 1999 publishing photos of aircraft.
Since then, the web has expanded to include current events regarding aviation. Sam started his YouTube channel in 2007 and became well-known. Sam Chui Emirates | Emirates First Class
Emirates announced at the Dubai Airshow 2021, that they will be retrofitting 105 of their modern wide-body aircraft with their Premium Economy product. They would also consider a new 1-2-1 configured Business Class on their B777 fleet. The 18-month retrofit program is scheduled to begin at the end of 2022. The program will be entirely conducted at Emirates’ state-of-the-art Engineering Centre based in Dubai.

It will see 53 Boeing 777s and 52 Emirates A380s fitted with the airline’s highly lauded Premium Economy i.e a new cabin class. Also, the airline is considering installing a brand new Business Class product on their Boeing 777 aircraft, with customized seats in a 1-2-1 layout. Emirates will have a total of 111 Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft at the end of the retrofit program offering Premium Economy seats.
5 rows of Economy class seats, located just behind Business Class on the Emirates Boeing 777, will be removed to allow for the installation of 24 Premium Economy seats laid out in a 2-4-2 configuration. 56 Premium Economy seats will be installed on the Emirates A380, at the front of the main deck and will also be in a 2-4-2 configuration.
