Ryan Dempster (Ryan Scott Dempster), is a Canadian-born former professional baseball pitcher. He played for the Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, and Florida Marlins, in Major League Baseball (MLB). Ryan batted and threw right-handed and was a starter as well as a reliever in his career. He launched his career with the Gulf Coast Rangers and was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1995 MLB draft by the Texas Rangers.
