Ryan Baker is an American news presenter currently working as a  Morning News anchor at CBS 2 Chicago network every weekday. He became a CBS 2’s sports anchor on the weekday evening newscasts at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m in April 2008.

He does several roles in his post as a sports anchor. They include covering the historic World Series. Ryan reported from Athens during the 2004 Summer Olympics. The biggest change done by Channel 2 News Director Jeff Harris was a  notice to all staff stating the promotion of Ryan from sports anchor to early morning news anchor. He works alongside Erin Kennedy as morning news co-anchors for the early morning weekday newscast for 4:30 AM.

As a student, Ryan was the student’s basketball manager for the 1989 Flyin’ Illini Final Four team. He was a member of the Illini Leadership Council and the 2013 Chicago Illini of the Year. Today, he is a board member with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Additionally, serves at the Chicago chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
