Ruston Kelly (Full name: Ruston Samuel Kelly) is an American singer and songwriter. He landed a publishing deal with BMG Nashville in 2013, and got his first cut with Tim McGraw’s song “Nashville Without You”. The song appeared on McGraw’s album Two Lanes of Freedom. 

Following a record deal with Razor & Tie’s Washington Square, Kelly released his debut EP Halloween produced by Mike Mogis in 2017. In 2018. he signed with Rounder Records and released his debut studio album Dying Star to generally favorable critical appraisal.

Kelly grew up in an Irish-American home in Wyoming, Ohio, and played music from a young age. He had a full album in high school with songs like “Bluebird” and “I’m Leavin’”. Additionally, Kelly had a drug addiction problem and struggled for years, and decided to pursue a life of sobriety following an overdose in December 2015.

Kelly collaborated with a record label ‘New Rounder’ and came up with his debut full-length album ‘Dying Star,’ which was recorded at ‘Sonic Ranch.’ The album was produced by Jarrad K and released on September 7, 2018. It featured 14 songs, such as ‘Son Of A Highway Daughter,’ ‘Trying To Let Her,’ ‘Brightly Burst Into The Air,’ ‘Cover My Tracks,’ ‘Big Brown Bus,’ and ‘Dying Star.’
