Ron Pitts (Full name: Ronald Dwayne Pitts) is a former American football player currently serving as a sportscaster. He works for the syndicated magazine OK!TV as a co-host. Previously, he served as a fill-in play-by-play announcer forĀ CBS Sports Network. He had been a part of the network’s sports family since January 2014.

During his career as a player, Ron played in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers. Prior to CBS Sports Network, he worked for nineteen years calling games as an analyst, sideline reporter & play-by-play announcer for Fox Sports from 1994 to 2013.

Soon after retiring from football, he ventured into a journalism career in 1994 and was hired at Fox Sports as an analyst and worked alongside Kenny Albert, Ray Bentley, and Thom Brennaman. Seven years later he was reassigned as the lead sideline reporter for the final season of the Pat Summerall and John Madden pairing.

He was later promoted as the station’s play-by-play announcer alongside Dwight Clark, Jesse Palmer, Marv Levy, Dave Krieg, Terry Donahue, Tim Ryan, J.C. Pearson, and Jim Mora. After serving the network for 19 years, Ron officially left during the 2012 NFL season and was preceded by Kevin Burkhardt.
