Rod Gilmore is an American college football analyst. Currently, he works for ABC and ESPN since 1996. Prior to joining ABC and ESPN, Gilmore worked for SportsChannel Bay Area, Pacific Sports Network, and Prime Sports Network. While at Stanford University, he played defensive back for three years.

In addition to his career, Gilmore is a practicing attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area.  He is also a longtime volunteer at Stanford. Previously, Gilmore served as an officer of two entities sponsored by the Stanford Alumni Association. Moreover, he serves as a chairman of the Stanford Athletic Board and a member of the Board of Directors of the Stanford Alumni Association.
