Rob is best known for his work on the television series Supernatural, Felicity, Threshold, and the comedy film Waiting… He is also the lead singer/songwriter of the Los Angeles-based band Louden Swain.

Rob has also appeared in episodes of Chicago Hope, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Birds of Prey, Alias, Head Case, and Lucifer. Alongside Richard Speight Jr. and Matt Cohen, he is a regular at conventions. The three are known collectively as R2M by fans. Additionally, Rob along with Richard, are creators and actors of the series King of Con which was canceled after one season.
