Raj Mathai is an award-winning American journalist currently serving as a weeknight news anchor at KNTV an NBC-owned station based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been part of the station since 1998. Previously, Raj worked in Fresno, California as a sportscaster and at KSEE-TV.
Raj is a twelve-time Emmy Award winner. He has been awarded several awards in 2016 and 2015 he was awarded the Best On-Camera Talent, Breaking News award in 2016 and 2013, covering the Dwight Clark Documentary in 2018 and hosting an Outstanding Cultural Program in 2012. Additionally, he was awarded in 1998,2002, 2011 for his recommendable sports coverage.
