Rachel Ames ( Full name: Rachel Kay Foulger) is An American film and television actress professionally known as Rachel Ames. The daughter of actors Byron Foulger and Dorothy Adams grew up in Portland, Oregon, and Los Angeles, California. She went to University High School and the University of California, Los Angeles where she studied drama. After graduating, Rachel used the stage name Judith Ame to sign an acting contract with Paramount Pictures.
The actress made her film debut in the studio’s science-fiction film titled When Worlds Collide in 1951. In 1954, she appeared in Ricochet Romance Rachel then had a prolific career in television after becoming famous for her role in the soap opera titled General Hospital where she appeared as Audrey March Hardy beginning in 1964. Her role in the General Hospital film is the longest-running in the series’ history. The role spans more than 50 years and has earned Rachel multiple Emmy Award nominations.
