Punit Renjen is a popular American Indian-American businessman who has been the Global CEO Emeritus of Deloitte since December 31, 2022. He was nominated to join the SAP Supervisory Board and replace the SAP founder Hasso Plattner as chairman on February 22, 2023. Before, Punit was a Global chief executive officer of the multinational professional services firm Deloitte from June 1, 2015 to December 2022.
Prior to that, Punit was chairman and CEO of Deloitte Consulting LLP, and afterward, held the role of chairman of Deloitte LLP (United States) from 2011 until 2015. Following earning an MBA in management from Oregon’s Willamette University, Punit was hired by Touche Ross, which merged into Deloitte in 1989. Punit has served at Deloitte and lived in the US ever since.
He is on the Wall Street Journal’s Council of CEOs and has been on the boards of directors at Catlin Gabel School, United Way Worldwide, the U.S.-India Business Council, as well as his alma mater. Following graduating from Willamette, Punit started interviewing at American firms.
