Nicole Hickl is an American anchor and reporter. She currently serves as a show host at HSN. Previously, Nicole worked as the evening anchor for CBS 4 News based in Harlingen, TX. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter and weekend anchor at Newscenter 25 and as a morning show co-host on Hit Radio 104-7 based in Victoria, TX. Nicole worked there for almost 2 years before she became a video host at the digital magazine CultureMap based in Houston for a year.
At St. Thomas University where she earned her bachelor’s degree, Nicole was in the Communication and Psychology National Honors Society. Along with one of her close colleagues, Nichole had the honor of serving as the Graduation Commencement Speaker. Still at the University, she served as the President of Presidential Ambassadors, the Vice President of the Student Government Association, as well as the coach of the UST Cheerleaders. Nicole was named Woman of the Year 2012.
The Houston native, Nicole had the chance to intern at ABC 13 and FOX 26. From her internships. She is a 2nd-degree black belt in karate and holds numerous awards including state and city champion. Also, she competed and placed several times in the Chun Kuk Do World Championships held in Las Vegas, NV. In 2009, Nicole was named Miss Black Teen Texas USA.
Apart from her job, dance is also one of Nicole’s passions. Nicole was a member of the 2009-2010 Aero Dynamic Cheerleading Squad for the Houston Aeros Hockey Team as well as Houston Texans Cheerleader where she served for 3 years and was a captain the whole of her second year. In her free time, Nicole likes visiting friends and family back in her hometown of Houston. She as well like working out and going out to the movies.
