Neel Kashkari ( Full Name: Neel Tushar Kashkari) is a popular American banker, economist, and politician who works as the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis since 2016. Before, Neel worked as a Nominee for Governor of California from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, Neel worked as a Managing Director, Head of Global Equities, and Member of the Executive Office at PIMCO.
From 2008 to 2009, Neel worked as an interim Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Stability. He was also a Vice President at Goldman Sachs from 2002 to 2006. Neel was a Mechanical Engineer / Research Principal Investigator at Northrop Grumman Corporation from 1998 to 2000.
