Mrballen Navy Seal | Military
Following his graduation, he went to the recruiting office in Quincy Center to enlist a few months later. In December 2010, he was in a boot camp. Additionally, MrBallen was of SEAL Team 2 stationed in Virginia Beach for five years. He was deployed both in Afghanistan and South America.
While in Afghanistan as a Navy SEAL in 2014, a grenade hit his shoulder during a firefight and exploded, hence the blast sending the fragments of the bomb into his hips and legs causing excessive bleeding. After the bombing, MrBallen went deaf and blind and thought that he was going to die. Fortunately, the medic unit jumped into action, and eventually, the helicopter came to rescue. Additionally, he medically retired from the Navy in 2017.
After his retirement, he launched two nonprofit organizations to help veterans find jobs while also training Navy SEAL candidates. While running the organization he leveraged social media to share military stories to raise money for the charity with at least 40,000 fans.
However, he began running low on stories to narrate and he was also gaining mass hate from the Navy Seal community for sharing the stories. Therefore, he ceased sharing the stories and instead jumped on the TikTok platform where he posted the Dyatlov Pass incident that went viral. The story was about the mysterious deaths in the 1950s of nine Russian hikers. After posting the video, he left his phone home and went to spent time with his family in a water park. Following his return home from the park, the post had 5 million views.
