Mike Pomeranz ( Full name: Michael Pomeranz ) is an American sports broadcaster. He currently serves as a studio host and announcer for San Diego Padres telecasts on Fox Sports San Diego. At the same time, Mike is the studio host for the Anaheim Ducks on Fox Sports West as well as Prime Ticket. Additionally, he hosts Inside San Diego Sports and coaches’ shows for both SDSU Aztecs football and SDSU Aztecs basketball on Fox Sports San Diego.
Previously, Mike worked for KARE-TV based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. There, he anchored the weekday evening 5, 6, and 10 pm newscasts. He served the channel from 2006 to 2012. He is known fondly as “Smilin’ Mike,” by Minnesotans. Before he joined KARE, Mike worked at WCBS-TV in New York as an anchor and reporter from 2000 until 2005.
