Michael Holmes is an American anchor and correspondent. He currently works as a correspondent for CNN International based in Atlanta. Michael has been in journalism for more than 40 years and anchors CNN mornings news between 12 am to 3 am every weekday. He joined the CNN network in 1996 as the first Australian anchor. Michael has also reported extensively from all around the world such as Europe, Mexico, Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, India, the Middle East, and Asia.
Michael reported on the migrant crisis of Central American from the Mexico-Guatemala border. He also reported on the death of a man from El Salvador and his daughter, the two drowned and their bodies were found on the banks of the Rio Grande. It was reported that the two were trying to cross into the United States. Michael also covered the fire outbreak at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the Israeli elections as well as the deadly protests that occurred on the Gaza-Israel border
