Marc Maron (Full name: Marc David Maron) is an American musician, actor, writer,  podcaster, and stand-up comedian. He was a frequent guest on the Late Show with David Letterman in the 1990s and 2000s. Marc has appeared over forty times, more than any other stand-up comedian on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. From 1993 to 1994, he hosted Comedy Central’s Short Attention Span Theater taking over the role from Jon Stewart.

Currently, Marc is a regular guest on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. He also hosted the short-lived 2002 American version of the British game show called Never Mind the Buzzcocks on VH1. In addition, Marc served as a regular on the left-wing radio network Air America from 2004 to 2009, hosting his own show under his name as well as co-hosting the Morning Sedition and Breakroom Live.

Soon after Breakroom Live was canceled, Marc started hosting the twice-weekly podcast WTF with Marc Maron in September 2009. During the show, he got to interview his fellow comedians, authors, musicians, as well as celebrities in his garage based in Highland Park, Los Angeles, California.
