Louise Minchin ( Full Name: Louise Mary Minchin) is a British journalist, television presenter, and previous news presenter. She was a regular anchor on the BBC One program Breakfast starting in 2012. Louise co-hosted the show three days a week with Dan Walker.
She announced live on air on June 8, 2021, that she would be leaving BBC Breakfast “after the summer”, after presenting the show for twenty years. On September 15, 2021, Louise made her final appearance on the show. She co-hosted Real Rescues from 2009 until 2012 alongside Chris Hollins and Nick Knowles. Since 2010, Louise has guest-hosted The One Show a number of times.

She then served as the regular weekend presenter of the show from May 2009 until April 2012. The BBC announced in December 2011 that Louise would replace Sian as the main presenter of BBC Breakfast along with Charlie Stayt and Bill Turnbull when the program moved to Salford.

She announced live on BBC Breakfast on Tuesday 8 June 2021, that she would be stepping down from the role later that year to concentrate on other interests. On September 15, 2021, Louise made her final appearance on the show. She presented a weekday program called Missing Live from 21 April 2008 along with Rav Wilding. It ran for four weeks and was shown at 9:15 am after BBC Breakfast on BBC One. From March 16, 2009, Missing Live returned for a second four-week run. It did so again two years later in March 2010.

Also, she was a co-presenter of Radio 5 Live’s Drive program for a time from November 2012 with Peter Allen. Louise has worked on You and Yours, BBC Radio 4’s daily consumer program as an occasional presenter.
BBC announced in June 2021 that she was to leave BBC Breakfast after almost twenty years of working on the show. Louise was announced in November 2021 as a contestant on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, a twenty-first series and finished in seventh.
