Louis CK ( Born: Louis Alfred Székely) is a popular American stand-up comedian, actor, and film writer who is the star of the Emmy-winning FX series Louie. He has also had roles in movies such as American Hustle. Prior to starting his profession in stand-up comedy, Louis served as an auto mechanic. He started his work in the 1990s writing for comedians such as Chris Rock, David Letterman, and many others.

Louis released his first comedy album, Live in Houston, in 2001 directly via his website. He received fame and widespread recognition due to Louie from 2010 to 2015 his FX semi-autobiographical comedy-drama series, which he formed, directed, and appeared in. Louie got several accolades. Louis directed his debut feature, Tomorrow Night, in 1998, which failed to attract any distributors and was afterward re-released in 2014 by C.K. on his website.

Early Life And Education

He was born in Washington, D.C., to his parents Mary Louise and Luis Székely. His mother worked as a software engineer while his father worked as an economist. Louis has three siblings. His dad is of Hungarian-Jewish and Mexican ethnicity. His paternal grandfather, Géza Székely Schweiger, is Jewish and relocated from Hungary to Mexico. Louis’ mom was a Catholic with an Irish background.

When he was young, his family went to Mexico where his dad received a degree from the National Autonomous Campus of Mexico before graduating from Harvard. When his family left Mexico, they went to the United States and lived in the Boston area. Louis’ parents split when he was 10. His father later remarried and converted to Orthodox Judaism, the religion of his new spouse. Louis and his three sisters were brought up in Newton, Massachusetts by their single mom. On June 3, 2019, his mom Mary passed away. His paternal uncle is Dr. Francisco Székely. In 1985, Louis graduated from Newton North High School.
