Louie Giglio is an American Baptist evangelical Christian pastor of Passion City Church. His church is located in Atlanta, Georgia. Louie is also the founder of the Passion Movement which exists to call a generation to leverage their lives for the fame of Jesus.
Additionally, he is also an author and public speaker. He was raised in the Atlanta suburb of Smyrna and graduated from Campbell High School. Later, Louie graduated from Georgia State University and received a Master of Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Subsequently, he enrolled at Grace Theological Seminary to pursue a Doctor of Ministry degree.
After his seminary, Louie and his wife Shelley started a weekly Bible study, Choice at Baylor University where he was doing graduate studies in 1985. After several years, over 10% of the Baylor student body joined the weekly gathering, and Louie’s heart for the significance of the “university moment” was set.
