She was nine years old when she was fascinated by tornadoes and searched the local libraries and schools for any information she could find about this natural phenomenon. Extreme weather conditions were very interesting to Lindsay and she admits to being “kind of a nerd about science.”

She started her career in Lake Charles, Louisiana serving as the Chief Meteorologist for the local FOX affiliate.
From there, Lindsay moved to Reno, Nevada where she served as the Weekend Meteorologist at the local NBC affiliate. One of her most memorable events in the broadcasting business was when she was forecasting the weather during Hurricane Lily. Lindsay was 8½ months pregnant and had to report the hurricane event for 34 straight hours which was totally exhausting according to her.
