Kristen Miranda is an American anchor and reporter. She currently serves as the host of WBTV’s lifestyle talk show, Morning Break. The show airs every weekday at 9 am. Also, Kristen brings WBTV viewers some breaking news every morning from the Alert Center. Before joining the WBTV news team, Kristen served as an anchor/reporter in Rochester, NY, and Binghamton, NY. Her first time to be in a newsroom was while she was still in high school.
Since then, Kristine knew her career was working as a journalist. while working at WBTV, Kristen helped to create the weekend morning newscasts. It featured the always popular segment “product testing”. She has also been WBTV’s Consumer reporter who has interviewed well-known figures including the former First Lady Michelle Obama, country music superstar Dolly Parton, CBS News Anchor Charlie Rose, Oprah Winfrey, and country singer/North Carolina native Scotty McCreery among others.
Her work has been recognized by the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas and the North Carolina Associated Press. Before joining WBTV, Kristen was honored by the Syracuse Press Club and the New York State Associated Press for her coverage of breaking news. In 2005, Kristen was chosen for a Rotary International Group Study Exchange to Sweden. She had a chance to study tv news, radio news, as well as newspaper production.
