In the early 1980s, Judith wrote for and edited a number of publications, including the National Enquirer. She also produced a number of television shows, such as Geraldo.
In the mid-1980s, Judith signed a deal with Simon & Schuster to write two books, including a history of the American family. Later, she canceled the contract in order to stay home with her young son, suffering a head injury after being hit by a drunken driver. Simon & Schuster then offered Judith a job as an editor, working from home. During this time she served with Howard Stern and Rush Limbaugh.
