John Yang (full name: John Eric Yang) is an American news correspondent, and news commentator currently working at PBS NewsHour, an American evening television news program broadcast. He joined the news network in February 2016. Prior to joining PBS NewsHour, he was a Chicago-based correspondent for NBC News, reporting for NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, Today, and MSNBC. Before he was transferred to NBC News’ Chicago bureau, he worked at the stations Washington bureau, where he still served as a news correspondent.
