Jennifer Saunders ( Jennifer Jane Saunders) is an English actress, singer, comedian, and screenwriter. She rose to fame in the 1980s after she became a member of The Comic Strip. Jennifer joined the group after graduating from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with her best friend and comedy partner, Dawn French.
She co-wrote and starred in an eponymous sketch show titled French and Saunders alongside Dawn, for which they jointly received a BAFTA Fellowship in 2009. In the 1990s, Jennifer received acclaim for writing and playing her character Edina Monsoon in her sitcom titled Absolutely Fabulous.
