Jack Dee ( Full name: James Andrew Innes Dee) is an English stand-up comedian, presenter, actor, and writer. He is best known for his sarcasm, irony, and far-right humor. Jack wrote and starred in the sitcom Lead Balloon. Currently, he hosts the panel show I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue.
His UK tv appearances include as a team captain on Shooting Stars and hosting Jack Dee: Live at the Apollo. The latter was nominated for a BAFTA in 2006. Also, Jack presented The Jack Dee Show, Jack Dee’s Happy Hour, as well as Jack Dee’s Saturday Night. In 2001, he won Celebrity Big Brother 1.

The comedian is the youngest of three children born to Rosemary (née Stamper) and Geoffrey Dee. His siblings are Joanna Innes Dee and David Simon Innes Dee. Jack grew up in Petts Wood before the family moved to Winchester when he was young. His dad was a printer. His maternal grandparents are repertory actors, Henry Lionel Pope Stamper (1906–1985) and Edna May Howard Innes (1904–1969).

He took part in the 15th anniversary special of Shooting Stars in 2008 where he took over from Will Self as captain of Team A. The show aired on December 30, 2008, on BBC2. On August 26, 2009, Jack returned as team captain in series 6 of Shooting Stars. He again returned for the 7th series. Jack played the role of John Tweedledum in The News at Bedtime over Christmas 2009. He took part in Channel 4’s Comedy Gala in 2010 which was a benefit show held in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. The show was
filmed live at the O2 Arena in London on March 30th. Jack joined Dara Ó Briain, Greg James, Chelsee Healey, Melanie C, and Philips Idowu in 2013 in a Comic Relief challenge called Through Hell and High Water. This challenge involved British celebrities canoeing the most difficult rapids of the Zambezi River. They raised over £1 million for the charity. Jack co-wrote and starred in a 2017 sitcom, Bad Move, about a middle-aged man and his wife (played by Kerry Godliman).
