Harvey Levin ( Full name: Harvey Robert Levin) is an American celebrity reporter, legal analyst, television producer, and former lawyer. He founded the celebrity news website TMZ and serves as the host of OBJECTified airing on the Fox News Channel. Formerly, Harvey was an active attorney in the state of California. He worked as an attorney from December 18, 1975, until January 1, 1996.
He also taught law at the University of Miami School of Law under Soia Mentschikoff in the mid-1970s. Harvey briefly practiced in Los Angeles prior to returning to teach at Whittier College School of Law. He came into the public’s eye by the introduction and debate surrounding California Proposition 13 in 1978 after his performances in a number of public debates.
Harvey began to contribute legal advice on a radio show with his newfound fame where he was nicknamed “Doctor Law.” At the same time, he began writing columns for the Los Angeles Times. Later, Harvey created an experiment in exploiting a family for quick fame, Famous in 12 (2014). However, the show came to an end after less than one season, having aired only five of the scheduled twelve episodes. Currently, Harvey serves as the host of the weekly prerecorded show called OBJECTified on the Fox News Channel, a role he assumed in 2016.
