Guy returned to NPR in 2006 and was directed to work as a defense correspondent covering the Pentagon and the US military. In his Iraq reports, he earned the Edward R. Murrow Award as well as the Daniel Schorr Journalism Prize. For NPR, he has reported information that the station has two duPont awards and one Peabody. In addition, Guy has anchored the biggest stories like the killing of Osama bin Laden, the Newtown School Shootings, and the 2012 presidential election.
