Gene Lavanchy is an American tv and radio personality. He currently works as a co-host of WFXT’s Boston 25 Morning News in Boston. Gene co-hosts the show along with Kim Carrigan. Prior to becoming a WTXT employee, he served as a sports director as well as a sports anchor at Channel 7/WHDH7. Gene also served as a sportscaster for Rhode Island, Florida, as well as Massachusetts television stations.
He and his fellow broadcast journalist Dave Briggs served as sportscasters for Boston television stations. After graduating with a broadcast journalism degree from Emerson College, Gene launched his career by working at the WJCC-AM radio station based in Norfolk, Massachusetts.
