Ezra Levant ( Full Name; Ezra Isaac Levant) is a prominent Canadian previous lawyer, broadcaster, writer, political activist, and conservative media personality. He is the co-founder, owner, and CEO of the far-right media website Rebel News. Ezra founded and served as publisher of the conservative publication The Western Standard.
He has also written columns for Sun Media, and from the channel’s launch in 2011 until its closure in 2015, he served as host of a daily show on the Sun News Network. After printing the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons in The Western Standard in 2006, which sparked a protracted legal dispute with the Alberta Human Rights Commission over hate speech laws and free speech, Ezra gained notoriety.
In the end, the grievance against Levant was dropped. Together with Brian Lilley, he co-founded Rebel News in February 2015.
