Eric Perry is an American two-time Emmy Award-Winning journalist. He currently works serves as the News Reporter for FOX 5 Atlanta, WAGA-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Eric became part of the FOX 5 News team in August of 2020. The Atlanta native is a graduate of the Dekalb School of the Arts. After his graduation, Eric participated in several internships in Washington, Baltimore, and Hampton Roads as well.
He launched his television news career by working at WBBJ based in Jackson, Tennessee. There, his role was to serve as a Weekend Anchor. After that, Eric became a Weekend Morning Anchor and Reporter at NBC12 based in Richmond, Virginia. While working there, he had a chance to cover a number of big stories such as the deadly tornadoes, the Virginia Beach mass shooting, and the Governor’s blackface controversy.
