Elise Haas is an American anchor and reporter. She currently works for the Koin6 channel ( CBS affiliate) based in Portland. Elise joined KOIN 6 News team in June 2018 as their reporter. She serves as the morning news anchor, so she doesn’t mind being in the office at 3:30 a.m. Prior to going to Portland, Elise used to work at KEPR Action News based in Pasco, Washington.
While there, she covered national breaking news events such as the shooting at Freeman High School south of Spokane, the emergency at the Hanford Nuclear Site after the tunnel collapse, etc. Elise also shared stories of victims in the Texas church shooting as well as the Las Vegas Massacre. Elise has a passion for investigative reporting. Her desire to become an investigative reporter started while with the WMAQ’s NBC 5 Investigative team in Chicago.
Before she went to the Pacific Northwest home, Elise resided in Overland Park, Kansas. It was there that Elise discovered her love of journalism while still in high school. She loves her Royals and KC barbeque so naturally.
