David Bromwich is an American Academic, literary critic, and literary historian. He serves as a Sterling Professor of English at Yale University. David is also the author of The Intellectual Life of Edmund Burke: From the Sublime and Beautiful to American Independence.

Additionally, he also serves as the editor of Writing Politics, an anthology of political essays. He argued forcefully against American intervention in the Syrian conflict. David has been a frequent critic of the Obama administration’s caution and failure to achieve more of the Democratic party’s policy agenda.
