Dave Rubin ( Full name: David Joshua Rubin) is an American author, talk show host, YouTube personality, and political commentator. He created a political talk show on YouTube and also on the BlazeTV network called The Rubin Report and now serves as its host. In 2013, Dave launched his show that was originally part of TYT Network.
However, he left the show in 2015, in part due to widening ideological differences. Before that, Dave served as the host of LGBT-themed talk shows such as The Ben and Dave Show which he hosted from 2007 to 2008. He as well hosted The Six Pack show from 2009 to 2012. In both shows, Dave co-hosted alongside Ben Harvey. Originally, Dave considered himself to be progressive while part of The Young Turks.
However, the journalist has written that his views started to change after witnessing progressive commentator Cenk Uygur criticizing Fox News commentator David Webb, Ben Affleck confronting Bill Maher and Sam Harris over their views on Islam, as well as the political left’s response to the Charlie Hebdo shooting.[2] Since then, Dave has described himself as a classical liberal. He later described himself as a conservative. He has become a staunch critic of progressivism, the Democratic Party, and the political left.
