However, in the late spring of 2004, there was an unwelcome recurrence of cancer. Dan returned to Sloan-Kettering for more chemotherapy and radiation, a repeat of the previous process. Afterward, he has a major surgery, which provided the exclamation point to whatever chemotherapy did. Once again he was declared cancer-free. He has not had another recurrence of cancer again and is currently in good health.
