Chris Rock ( Full name: Christopher Julius Rock) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and filmmaker. He is best known for his work in comic film, tv, and stage. Chris has received multiple accolades, including a Golden Globe Award nomination, four Primetime Emmy Awards, and three Grammy Awards for the best comedy album.
Chris was ranked No. 5 on Comedy Central’s list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time. Also, he ranked No. 5 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 50 Best Stand-Up Comics of All Time. He worked as a stand-up comedian and appeared in minor film roles for years including Beverly Hills Cop II. Chris gained prominence as a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1993.
