Hardwick was born in Louisville, Kentucky, in the United States to his mother and father. He holds American nationality and grew up in a Roman Catholic faith. His parents are Sharon Hills, a real estate agent in Pasadena, and Billy Hardwick a professional ten-pin bowler.
