Chip has preached for over 30 years and has authored books such as The Real Heaven, The Real God, and The Invisible War.

In 2003, he relocated to Georgia to be the chief executive officer of Walk Thru the Bible Ministries hence succeeding Bruce Wilkinson. He has also served as a Senior Pastor for Venture Christian Church located in California for nine years, that was from 2009 to 2018.
