JOURNALISTS

Brian Monahan is an American weatherman working as a morning meteorologist for WSB-TV. He is a weather nerd who woke up at 6 a.m to watch the news at the age of 10 years. Before joining WSB-TV in September 2014, Brian was working as a weekday morning and noon meteorologist at KIRO.

Glenn Burns is an American Meteorologist. He currently serves as the chief meteorologist at WSB-TV (  ABC-affiliated ) based in Atlanta, Georgia. Glenn holds the AMS seal of approval and is, therefore, a certified meteorologist. he broadcasts the weather at 4 p.m and 6 p.m. newscasts from Monday to Friday. Additionally, Glenn hosts the end of the weekly Mega Millions of lottery drawings, located in Atlanta.

John Pruitt is a retired American journalist who worked as an anchor. He retired from his anchor’s post at WSB-TV at the end of 2010 after 46 years in the journalism career. John still works on special projects and political commentaries for WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. He began his journalism career as a reporter and cameraman around the South, where he covered major civil rights stories. He then became an infantry lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Seoul, South Korea, and Fort Gordon. 

Jovita Moore was an American news anchor and reporter. In the late years before her death, she served as an anchor at WSB-TV Action News/Channel 2 ( ABC-affiliated). Jovita’s role at the station was to broadcast the news at 5, 6, and 11 pm. She had been serving the station since 1998 when she became part of the station’s news team. She won several Emmy Awards due to her excellent reporting. Jovita began her career by serving as a News reporter at KFMS-TV based in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Monica Pearson (Full Name: Monica Jones Kaufman Pearson)is an African-American journalist and news anchor who retired in 2012 from WSB-TV Atlanta after working for 37 years as a news anchor. Currently, Monica works with KISS 104.1 FM where she hosts her own weekly music and talk show on Sundays. She also co-hosts A Seat at the Table on Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Megan McArdle is a veteran American journalist, columnist, and blogger in Washington, D.C. who writes for The Washington Post mostly about economics, finance, and government policy.’ Currently, Megan is an opinion writer for The Washington Post. She is also the author of “The Up Side of Down: Why Failing Well Is the Key to Success.”

Michael Gerson ( full name Michael John Gerson) is an American op-ed columnist. He currently works for The Washington Post. Michael is a Policy Fellow with One Campaign. He is also a visiting fellow with the Center for Public Justice. Before that, he worked as the senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. He as well worked as a chief speechwriter from 2001 to June 2006 for the former USA’s President George W. Bush. From 2000 to June 2006, Michael was a senior policy advisor as well as a member of the White House Iraq Group.

Jim Donovan is an American journalist currently working for CBS 3 Eyewitness News in Philly as a news anchor. He joined the station in 2004 working as a consumer reporter for “On Your Side”. Currently, Jim anchors the station’s morning newscast for This Morning on weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. as well as the CBS 3 Eyewitness News at Noon.

Stephania Jimenez is an American anchor and reporter. She currently serves as the anchor of The Nightbeat at KSAT. Previously, Stephania was an anchor and reporter at the NBC10 channel based in Philadelphia. She became part of the NBC10 news team in July 2018. Before she came to join NBC10, Stephania worked as the evening news anchor at KRIS based in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Heather Holmes is an American journalist and evening anchor for KTVU. She hit the headlines after her purse was stolen in the news van, just outside the Oakland police headquarters when she was providing coverage of a woman who was violently robbed in 2014. Before joining KTVU in 2006, Heather was working as a fill-in anchor and reporter for WPXI in New York.
