John Yoo (Full Name: John Choon Yoo) is a popular Korean-born American legal scholar and a retired government official. As of now, Yoo works as the Emanuel S. Heller Professor of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. He became known in the early-2000s due to his legal opinions concerning executive power, warrantless wiretapping, as well as the Geneva Conventions while working in the Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) of the Department of Justice, during the George W.
