Silky Terrier ( known as Australian Silky Terrier in its native country ) is a toy-sized terrier type of dog from Sydney, Australia. It is popular for its distinctive silky blue and tan coat that behaves like human hair. The coat requires regular shampooing and grooming to retain the silkiness. Silky Terriers are slightly longer than tall since they were originally developed for hunting and killing rodents and snakes.

Miniature Bull Terrier ( also known as Mini Bull Terrier) is a small-sized version of a Bull Terrier from England. Initially, they were three types of Bull Terriers: Standard, Miniature, and Toy. However, toy-sized Bull Terriers fell out of favor remaining only with Miniature and Standard size.

Japanese Chin( also known as Chin Dog) is a toy-sized dog breed popular as a companion dog and lap dog. They were originally known as Japanese Spaniel until 1977. The Chin Dog has cat-like traits and appearance. It uses its paws to clean the face, love resting on high surfaces, has a tendency of hiding in an unexpected places, and possesses a good sense of balance.

Thai Ridgeback is a medium-sized pariah-type of dog from Thailand where it is considered a primitive breed. Like the Rhodesian Ridgeback and Phu Quoc Ridgeback, this breed has a ridge on its back. A ridge is formed by the hair that grows in the opposite direction from the rest of the coat. Although, some puppies are born ridgeless and/or plush-coated. A Thai Ridgeback may have any of the eight distinctive ridge patterns including saddleback, needle, leaf, feather, bowling pin, arrow, violin, and lute. All ridge patterns are acceptable but must be clearly symmetrical and defined.

Puli Dog ( Pulik in plural) is a small to medium sized herding dog breed from Hungary. It is popular for the long, tight, and corded curls similar to dreadlocks. The Pulik coat is a result of a controlled matting process. The coat can become quite long with age even reaching the ground. However, some may prefer to trim the coat for a shaved appearance to ease maintenance. Even though, the corded coat is what makes people attracted to the breed.

Bedlington Terrier is a small-sized dog breed originating from Bedlington, England, where the breed gets its name. They are known for their distinctive pear-shaped head and resemblance to a lamb. A Bedlington is closely related to an Otterhound, Whippet, and Dandie Dinmont Terrier. This breed has an arched back and speedy enough to keep up with an ordinary horse thanks to the Whippet in their lineage.

Kerry Blue Terrier( also known as Irish Blue Terrier or Kerry) is a medium-sized terrier dog breed from Ireland named after County Kerry. It is popular for its distinctive soft, curly, and wavy blue coat. Although, puppies are born with a black coat that gradually transitions to a deep slate blue or a light blue-gray color at the age of 18 months.

Bolognese dog ( also known as Bichone Bolognese or Bolo) is a small-sized companion dog of Bichon type from Bologna, Italy. It has a white woolly coat that sheds at low levels all-year round hence considered a hypoallergenic dog. Bolognese Dogs are companion pets that suffer from separation anxiety if left alone for long periods.

Japanese Spitz is a small to medium-sized Spitz type of dog breed from Japan. It has similar appearance to the Samoyed, American Eskimo Dog, and white Pomeranian. In the recent past, these dogs have become popular as companion pets. This is because they are smart, always have a smile on their face, love to please their families, and are true comedians.

Spanish Water Dog is a medium-sized dual purpose dog breed from Andalusia, Spain. It was bred as a herding and guard dog. Spanish Water Dogs are also skilled at retrieval from water. Some Spanish Water dogs are born with naturally bobbed tails while others have long tails which are docked in countries that allow this practice such as the USA.
