António Guterres is an eminent Portuguese politician and diplomat. He is the secretary-general of the United Nations since 2017. He worked as prime minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 as a member of the Portuguese Socialist Party. From 1992 to 2002, he was secretary-general of the Socialist Party.
