Andy Levin (Full name: Andrew Saul Levin) is an American attorney and politician. He is the U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 9th congressional district and also a member of the Democratic Party.
He succeeded his retiring father Sander “Sandy” Levin in the 2018 election for the United States House of Representatives. Levin was nominated for Secretary of Labor in the Biden Administration in November 2020.
He started Lean & Green Michigan in 2011. Levin served as deputy director and acting director of the Michigan Department of Energy Labor and Economic Growth. He has also served as the chief workforce officer for Michigan. Levin also worked as the assistant director of organizing for the national AFL-CIO and as an organizer for SEIU.
