Alan Keyes ( Full name: Alan Lee Keyes ) is an American perennial candidate, conservative political activist, pundit, author, and former ambassador. He started his diplomatic career in 1979 in the U.S. Foreign Service at the United States consulate in Mumbai ( former Bombay), India. Later, Alan went to work in the American embassy in Zimbabwe.
Former USA president President Ronald Reagan appointed Alan as the Ambassador to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. In his capacities as a U.N ambassador from 1985 to 1987, Alan served as Ronald Reagan’s Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs. Apart from that, he took part in the implementation of the Mexico City Policy.
