Steve Edwards is an American television and radio personality. He currently hosts Los Angeles, California morning shows such as Good Day L.A., Two on The Town, and AM Los Angeles. Steve hosted GDLA’s nationally-syndicated companion show called Good Day Live from 2001 until 2005. The show aired on many Fox-owned and affiliated stations.
In 1993, he returned to local television and he started hosting an infotainment program on KCAL-TV called Live in L.A. Later after that, Steve became an anchor and host of Fox-owned KTTV’s Good Day L.A. in 1995. Through the years, Steve has hosted many unsold pilots such as game shows, variety shows, and talk shows.
The three-game show pilots that feature Steve as a host are; the 1990 pilot of a potential syndication run of the mid-80s NBC game show Scrabble, Pandemonium in 1979 for Jay Wolpert and CBS, and Get Rich Quick! in 1977 for Bob Stewart and ABC. However, either of these three pilots was picked up. On December 11, 2017, KTTV announced that Steve would no longer work for the station. The announcement was made amid sexual harassment allegations. Steve’s dismissal came during the height of the #MeToo movement.

His major role was to serve as host of AM Chicago with Sandi Freeman and Friday Night with Steve Edwards. The journalist moved to Los Angeles in 1978 and began working at CBS-owned KNXT (later renamed KCBS-TV).
While there, Steve hosted daily half-hour magazine-style Two On the Town with Connie Chung. Later he was joined by Melody Rogers who took over from Connie Chung. He also had his own self-titled talk show. Steve served as the station’s entertainment editor and as a weatherman too. In addition, he worked on an experimental sitcom, The Baxters produced by Norman Lear. Steve was a lead host on the different shows On Stage America.
Prior to moving to KABC-TV in 1984, he appeared as a correspondent on Entertainment Tonight for one season. While working at KABC-TV, the journalist hosted A.M. Los Angeles with Cristina Ferrare and the latter was replaced by Tawny Little later.
