Dan Patrick ( Full name: Daniel Patrick Pugh) is an American actor, sportscaster, and radio personality from Mason, Ohio. Currently, he serves as the host of The Dan Patrick Show broadcast on radio on Premiere Radio Networks. The same show is streaming on Peacock. He also serves as a senior writer for Sports Illustrated. Before the current show, Dan co-hosted NBC’s Football Night in America.
He as well worked at ESPN for a period of 18 years. While there, Dan often anchored the weeknight and Sunday 11 p.m. edition of SportsCenter. Prior to joining ESPN, Dan was an on-air personality known by his surname, “Dan Pugh” with the album rock-formatted WVUD. From 1979 to 1983, he worked at WTUE in Dayton, Ohio. The show started being broadcast on The 101 Network in August 2009. This came after a show of DIY Network in which a toy-filled “man cave” studio was built in Milford, Connecticut. The radio-only show had been produced in the attic of Dan’s home. The show features “The Danettes”, who help Dan with the show.
