She is best known as the former anchor at KTLA based in Los Angeles. Michaela made an announcement on March 28, 2013, that she would leave her position in May to become part of the CNN morning show called New Day which debuted on June 17, 2013
In 2016 she left CNN to join the HLN cable television network and on July 11, 2016, Michaela debuted as anchor of the Los Angeles-based news program called MichaeLA.In October 2018 HLN made an announcement that she and the hosts of two other HLN live news shows were leaving the station.
