Dan Savage (Full Name: Daniel Keenan Savage) is a popular American author, media pundit, journalist, and LGBT community activist who writes a syndicated sex-advice column, Savage Love. Since October 2006, the column has also recorded the weekly podcast version of the column titled Savage Lovecast.
Besides his writings and podcasts, Dan has endorsed for progressive politics and advancing the rights of LGBT youth to stop suicide in the community. Dan has resisted laws restricting pornography and the marketing of sex toys and created the It Gets Better Project alongside his husband Terry Miller, whom he married in 2005. Dan has been featured on many television programs and news outlets, such as Countdown alongside Keith Olbermann and Anderson Cooper 360.
He has attracted controversy through his comments and actions similar to LGBT issues.
